WELL, FIRST OF ALL, OUR BUSINESS
[1. Discuss and take action regarding approval of the minutes of the June 16, 2020 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.]
IS, UH, IS, UM, THE APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM OUR JUNE MEETING.DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY, UH, DISCUSSION OR CHANGES TO BE MADE FOR THE JUNE MEETING MINUTES? I HAVE A APPROVAL ON A SECOND.
UH, EVERYONE IN FAVOR OF APPROVING THE MINUTES FROM OUR JUNE MEETING.
UM, APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FOR OUR JUNE MEETING.
[2. PUBLIC HEARING Case 1815-SUP/Pie Tap. Public hearing, discussion, and take action on a recommendation regarding an ordinance changing the zoning on property located at 5100 Belt Line Road Suite 796, which property is currently zoned PD, Planned Development, through Ordinances O12-002 and O20-08, by approving a Special Use Permit for a new restaurant with the sale of alcoholic beverages for on premises consumptions only.]
IS PUBLIC HEARING FOR CASE 1815, SUP PI TAP, PUBLIC HEARING DISCUSSION AND TAKE ACTION ON A RECOMMENDATION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING OR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5,100 BELTLINE ROAD, SUITE SEVEN 96, WHICH PROPERTY IS CURRENTLY ZONED PD PLAN DEVELOPMENT OR ORDINANCE ZERO ONE TWO DASH THE RECEIVER TWO AND ZERO TWO ZERO DASH ZERO EIGHT BY PROVING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT RIGHT IN YOUR RESTAURANT, THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR ON PREMISES CONSUMPTION.CHARLES MAY WE HAVE THE SEPARATE REPORT AND PINE TAP IS A LOCAL RESTAURANT CHAIN SERVING PIZZA SALADS AND OTHER ITALIAN DISHES.
THEY HAVE THREE OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE AREA, TWO IN DALLAS AND ONE IN PLANO.
UH, THEY'RE PROPOSING TO LOCATE NOW AND BUILDS ON THE PARKWAY AND THE SPACE THAT WAS MOST RECENTLY OCCUPIED BY LACOE META PI TAP WOULD RENOVATE THAT SPACE.
AND PART OF THAT RENOVATION INCLUDES RELOCATING THE BAR AREA.
THAT'S CLOSER TO WHERE THE KITCHEN IS, UH, AND IT'S THAT RELOCATION OF THE BAR THAT TRIGGERS THE NEED FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT.
UH, THE PLANTS SHOW A 3,669 SQUARE FOOT FLOOR PLAN.
THAT INCLUDES AN EXTERIOR PATIO PATIO OF A LITTLE OVER 300 SQUARE FEET ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING.
THE APPLICANT IS PROPOSING TO ADD SOME ADDITIONAL GLAZING OR WINDOWS ON BOTH THE SIDES OF THE RESTAURANT, UH, HAVING SOME METAL AWNINGS OVER THOSE WINDOWS AND THEN HAVING A WOODEN PERGOLA OVER THE PROPOSED PATIO.
UM, THIS IS JUST A, A PRETTY EXTENSIVE RENOVATION OF AN EXISTING RESTAURANT.
UM, SO WE'D RECOMMEND APPROVAL SUBJECT TO JUST OUR STANDARD CONDITION THAT THE APPLICANT NOT USING THE TERM FOR GRAPHIC DEPICTIONS THAT RELATE TO THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN ANY OF THEIR EXTERIOR SIGNAGE.
I MEAN, HAPPY, UH, COMMISSIONERS, ANY QUESTIONS FOR CHARLES? NOPE.
ONE, IT'S A CONTINUATION OF THE QUESTION I WAS ACTUALLY SENDING TO CHARLES.
UM, AS FAR AS WHEN THEY'RE GOING TO START THIS, UM, IS THERE INDEED A FIRM DATE FOR THEM TO START THEIR CONSTRUCTION, CHARLES? SO THEY MAY BE ABLE TO SPEAK TO THAT, UH, BETTER THAN I CAN TELL YOU THAT THEY'VE ALREADY SUBMITTED PLANS FOR US TO BEGIN REVIEWING THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
SO THEY ARE IN A HURRY TO GET GOING.
THEY, THEY, THEY DIDN'T REALLY REALIZE THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS.
AGAIN, THEY THOUGHT TAKING OVER AN EXISTING RESTAURANT SPACE.
WHY WOULD WE NEED TO GO THROUGH ZONING? UM, BUT WITH A BAR RELOCATION, WE KIND OF THREW THEM FOR A LITTLE BIT OF A LOOP, BUT THEY'RE, THEY'RE READY TO GO AS SOON AS THEY LET HIM.
AND THEY ARE HERE TO TAKE QUESTIONS.
IF, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR THEM, UH, IT WAS REALLY PREVIOUS JOINING ONLY TIME.
