SO I REALLY DO APPRECIATE WORKING WITH EVERYBODY. IT'S BEEN SO ACCOMMODATING AND THE WEATHER IS PERFECT. VOLUNTEERS HAVE PLAYED A VITAL ROLE IN MAKING OUR SPECIAL EVENTS PARK CLEANUPS AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES A SUCCESS. I'VE BEEN VOLUNTEERING WITH ADDISON ALMOST THREE YEARS NOW. I DO EVERY EVENT. BEING AN ADVOCATE FOR THE TOWN OF ADDISON HAS BEEN AMAZING. EVERY EVENT, EVERY OPPORTUNITY THAT I'VE BEEN GIVEN ONCE I'M THERE, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE FUN, THE SMILES ON THE PEOPLE FACES, MY PASSION AND PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO HELP AND TO SERVE. THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE, ALSO KNOWN AS CPAC, MET IN MARCH ONCE AGAIN TO REVIEW THE LATEST DRAFT OF THE PLAN. STAFF WILL BE MAKING EDITS BASED ON THEIR FEEDBACK, AND THE COMMITTEE WILL MEET AGAIN IN APRIL FOR WHAT IS SCHEDULED TO BE THEIR FINAL MEETING BEFORE RECOMMENDING THE PLAN FOR PUBLIC RELEASE. THE PUBLIC INPUT PHASE IS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MAY. SO I, I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU, ALL OF YOU TO PARTICIPATE AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH US. THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVED THE FINAL REVISED UDC ON MARCH 25TH, ENSURING OUR GROWTH ALIGNS WITH OUR COMMUNITY'S VISIONS. IF YOU WERE PART OF THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE UDC, COULD YOU PLEASE STAND AND BE RECOGNIZED? ALL THE UDC FOLKS AND, AND AS I SAID THIS, THAT WAS A MULTI-YEAR PROJECT. AND SO, UH, THEY'VE BEEN DOING YEOMAN'S WORK. UH, GETTING US TO THE FINISH LINE HERE. WE CONTINUE TO, UH, MAKE PROGRESS ON KEY BUILDING PROJECTS, PARKS, AND MOBILITY IMPROVEMENTS. ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANGES COMING SOON IS THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE ADDISON CONFERENCE CENTER INTO OUR NEW TOWN HALL. THE NEW ADDRESS WILL BE 15 600 ADDISON ROAD TO DISTINGUISH IT FROM THE ADDISON PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. AND IT WILL HOUSE OUR CITY COUNCIL, CHAMBERS, CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE, AND OTHER KEY DEPARTMENTS. THIS PROJECT ADDRESSES A CRITICAL FACILITY NEED BY CONSOLIDATING DEPARTMENTS AND MAKING SMART USE OF AN EXISTING ASSET IN A FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE WAY. THIS $2 MILLION REMODEL IS A MUCH MORE COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION COMPARED TO CONSTRUCTING A BRAND NEW TOWN HALL. THE PROJECT IS ON TRACK FOR COMPLETION IN OCTOBER, 2025. AND SO WE HOPE TO WELCOME YOU BACK AT, AT THE NEW TOWN HALL FOR OUR FALL TOWN MEETING. ANOTHER EXCITING UPDATE IS THE REBRANDING OF OUR THEATER TO THE ADDISON PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. THIS NEW NAME STRENGTHENS ITS IDENTITY. WHILE MAINTAINING ADDISON'S CONNECTION, WE UNVEILED THE NEW BRANDING AT AN OPEN HOUSE IN FEBRUARY. THE VENUE WILL CONTINUE TO BE A HOME TO OUR RESIDENT THEATER COMPANY, WATER TOWER THEATER, WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ONE THIRD OF ALL PROGRAMMING. THE OTHER TWO THIRD WILL COME FROM OTHER THEATER COMPANIES AND TOWN CURATED PERFORMANCES. THERE'S SO MUCH GOING ON WITH OUR GREAT PARKS THAT WE THOUGHT WE WOULD JUST TAKE YOU ON A BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK WITH THIS VIDEO UPDATE. THERE ARE CURRENTLY FOUR SIGNIFICANT PARKS PROJECTS THAT ARE TRANSFORMING OUR COMMUNITY SPACES, THE BELTWAY DRIVE, BIKE LANES AND GREEN BELT, THE LAY LOCKS POND RENOVATION, THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW PARK BEHIND THE AMIE TREE HOUSE COMMUNITY AND THE REDDING TRAIL DOG PARK AND TRAIL EXTENSION TO MIDWAY IN JANUARY, 2025, THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVED A $1.5 MILLION CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR PHASE ONE OF THE BELTWAY DRIVE TRAIL, BIKE LANES, AND GREEN SPACE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. THIS PROJECT IS A KEY INITIATIVE IDENTIFIED IN ADDISON CITYWIDE TRAILS MASTER PLAN AND FOCUSES ON ENHANCING CONNECTIVITY AND SAFETY FOR PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS.
