UM, SO IN THE FIRST ITEM WE HAVE, UH, SOME UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS.

AND THE FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE, UM, IS TO INTRODUCE OUR NEW ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, CORY BECK.

SO SHE STARTED WITH US LAST MONDAY, SO, UH, EXCUSE ME, TWO MONDAYS AGO, SO ABOUT TWO AND A HALF WEEKS.

SO SHE'S HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING, UM, GETTING UP TO SPEED ON ALL OF OUR LONG RANGE, UH, PROJECTS THAT JADE'S BEEN, UM, MANAGING AS WELL AS SOME OF OUR CURRENT PROJECTS.

SO WE'RE VERY EXCITED TO HAVE HER JOIN THE TEAM.

AND THEN A COUPLE OF OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS WE HAVE, UM, THE LAST, AT THE NOVEMBER 12TH COUNCIL MEETING, WE HAD TWO ITEMS THAT YOU ALL CONSIDERED AT THE OCTOBER MEETING, AND THAT WAS A SPECIAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT FOR THE WESTWOOD SCHOOL, UM, FOR, TO MODIFY THE DROP OFF LANE AS ALSO APPROVED TEMPORARY STORM SHELTERS THAT GOT APPROVED BY COUNCIL.

AND THEN THERE WAS A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE OFFICE BAR, WHICH IS A NEW RESTAURANT WITH, UM, THE SALE OF ALCOHOL.

UM, THAT ALSO GOT APPROVED BY COUNCIL AS WELL.

UM, ALL RIGHT.

AND THEN, UH, ONE OTHER ITEM I JUST WANTED TO MENTION, SO IT'S ON YOUR RADAR, IS, UM, TYPICALLY IN JANUARY WE HAVE, UH, OUR ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING TO GO OVER THE ANNUAL REPORT AS WELL AS GOALS FOR THE NEXT YEAR AND THE CALENDAR FOR 2025 AS WELL.

UM, SO THAT TYPICALLY OCCURS SOMETIME IN JANUARY.

WE'LL SEND OUT A, UM, LIKE A, A SURVEY TO, TO LOOK AT SOME DATES FOR, UM, POSSIBLE AVAILABILITY FOR THAT AS WELL.

SO JUST A HEADS UP THAT, THAT WILL BE COMING VIA EMAIL.

UH, MOVING ON TO ITEM TWO ON THE WORK SESSION AGENDA.

WE HAVE TWO ITEMS ON THE REGULAR MEETING AGENDA TONIGHT, THE MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING FROM OCTOBER 15TH.

UM, WERE THERE ANY MODIFICATIONS? ALRIGHT.

AND THEN THE NEXT ITEM, UM, ON THE REGULAR AGENDA IS A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR A REQUEST FOR A NEW RESTAURANT WITH THE SALE OF ALCOHOL.

UM, THIS IS A NEW RESTAURANT, A VILLAGE ON THE PARKWAY.

IT'S ACTUALLY IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF WHERE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES IS AND ACROSS FROM WHERE THREE FORKS IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

UM, SO THIS, UH, RESTAURANT IS CALLED, UH, LA PERAN.

IT IS A, UM, PARISIAN BISTRO.

THEY CURRENTLY HAVE A LOCATION AT THE STAR IN FRISCO.

UM, SO THEY'RE TAKING UP THAT SPACE.

IT'S, I THINK IT'S AROUND 4,600 SQUARE FEET, EXCUSE ME, 4,800 SQUARE FEET.

AND THEY'RE ALSO, UM, PROVIDING A 600 SQUARE FOOT PATIO ON THE WEST SIDE OF THAT SPACE AS WELL.

IT IS CURRENTLY, UM, HARD SURFACE, UM, KIND OF AN UNFINISHED PATIO SPACE FOR WHAT PREVIOUSLY WAS THE JEWELRY STORE.

SO THEY'RE PROPOSING TO FENCE THAT AREA IN AND USE IT AS THE OUTDOOR PATIO.

UM, THIS, THAT PATIO SPACE DOES NOT OBSTRUCT THE, WHAT APPEARS TO BE THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY IN VILLAGE ON THE PARKWAY AROUND THAT SIDE.

UM, THEY ARE COMBINING TWO SUITES.

THERE'S SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVEN OH FOUR FROM THE FACADE.

IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE ONE SUITE BECAUSE THE ENTRANCE OF 7 0 4, UM, IS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING, KIND OF BACK IN THAT PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY.

SO IT LOOKS A LITTLE BIT UNIQUE FROM THE EXTERIOR.

UM, BUT THEY'RE COMBINING THAT DOING AN INTERIOR RENOVATION, OBVIOUSLY ADD, UM, A KITCHEN FACILITY, A GREASE INTERCEPTOR AND SO FORTH, AND HAVE, UM, SOME DINING AREAS AS WELL.

UM, THERE ARE, THERE ARE NO MODIFICATIONS TO THE PARKING.

UM, THERE'S REALLY NO MODIFICATIONS TO THE ACTUAL FACADE OF THE BUILDING, UH, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ADDING A NEW FENCE FOR THE PATIO SPACE.

AND THEY ARE REMOVING SOME GROUND COVER, BUT THEY'RE NOT REMOVING, THERE'S AN EXISTING TREE ON THAT PATIO SPACE, AND THEY'RE NOT PROPOSING TO REMOVE THAT.

SO THAT PATIO OR THAT TREE WILL REMAIN ON THE PATIO SPACE, UH, WITHIN KIND OF A, UM, A PLANTING BED.

SO THOSE, UM, THOSE ARE THE ONLY ITEMS. ANY QUESTIONS ON THAT REQUEST? ALL RIGHT.

SO WE'RE TRYING TO TEE THEM UP NOW SO THAT WE CAN GET ADOPTED IN APRIL.

UM, AND SO THAT WE HAVE SOME CONTINUITY WITH THOSE MEETINGS AS WELL FOR BOTH THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AS WELL AS CITY COUNCIL.

'CAUSE WE'RE NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO OVERLAP BOTH PROJECTS FOR EITHER OF THOSE PUBLIC HEARINGS.

UM, 'CAUSE IT'S JUST GONNA BE TOO SIGNIFICANT OF A, OF A TIME COMMITMENT.

SO, BUT UM, WE WILL DEFINITELY REOPEN IT UNTIL AT LEAST MONDAY OR EX, EXCUSE ME, EXTEND IT UNTIL MONDAY FOR THE UDC AND THEN, UM, WE WILL CONTINUE TO, TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU VIA EMAIL ON THE UDC.

WE ARE SCHEDULED TO ADOPT THE COMP PLAN ON APRIL 8TH.

SO ALL THE STEPS TO GET US THERE, AS LESLIE, UM MENTIONED, ARE STRICTLY SET.

UM, GIVEN THE TWO PROJECTS ARE BEING REVIEWED CONCURRENTLY.

SO THE REVIEWS FOR THIS CURRENT DRAFT, WHICH IS THE FIRST FULL DRAFT WE HAVE SEEN OF THE COMP PLAN ARE GONNA BE DUE DECEMBER 5TH.

UM, IT IS AN OPEN DOCUMENT, SO IT'S LOOKED AT BY ALL FOUR GROUPS.

IT'S THE STAFF REVIEW TEAM, THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE, UM, P AND Z AND COUNCIL.

SO JUST BE MINDFUL OF YOUR COMMENTS THAT THEY'RE GONNA BE VISIBLE TO ALL GROUPS AT THE SAME TIME.

UM, WE HAVE ADDED A CPAC MEETING ON THE 13TH TO DISCUSS THE PLAN AND TO GET THEIR RECOMMENDATION AT THAT TIME.

AND THEN WE'LL PREP A COMMUNITY MEETING.

SO THIS PLAN WILL BE RELEASED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT.

UM, ALSO ONO THROUGH THE END OF FEBRUARY.

AND THEN ONCE WE HAVE ALL THAT INPUT FROM THOSE STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED, WE'LL BE HOSTING A WORK SESSION WITH, UM, THIS GROUP IN PREPARATION FOR A WORK SESSION WITH COUNCIL TO DISCUSS THIS AND TO GET US INTO ADOPTION.

SO THAT BEING SAID, UM, THE PLAN DOES HAVE AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE THAT HAS BEEN A HEAVY STEWARD OF THE DELIVERABLES THAT HAVE BEEN, UM, SENT TO US IN THE INTERIM KIND OF STATUS.

AND SO WE ARE AWARE WITH THE CURRENT DRAFT AND HAVE ALREADY MADE SOME COMMENTS THAT WHILE THIS IS A HEAVILY COMMUNITY INFORMED PLAN, THERE COULD BE MORE EMPHASIS ON THE PLAN ITSELF INTO INTEGRATING, UM, THE FEEDBACK THAT WE DID RECEIVE IN ABUNDANCE FROM THE COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE, UM, PROJECT.

SO JUST AGAIN, BE MINDFUL OF THAT AS YOU'RE LOOKING THROUGH IT.

UM, THERE IS A PROJECT WEBSITE, ADVANCED ADDISON.COM UNDER THE RESOURCES TAB WHERE WE HAVE THAT BASELINE ASSESSMENT, UM, SUMMARY.

SO YOU CAN SEE ALL THE INPUT THAT WE DID DO.

UM, BUT THIS SLIDE IS MEANT TO JUST SUMMARIZE THAT IT IS A COMMUNITY INFORMED PLAN.

WE HAVE DONE SURVEYS AND OUTREACH TO, UM, SYNTHESIZE INTO A VISION STORY, MOVE INTO GUIDING PRINCIPLES, AND THEN CREATE THE PLAN STRUCTURE OUT OF THAT.

SO YOU'LL SEE FOUR MAIN PLANNING COMPONENTS THAT ARE COLOR CODED THERE THAT TOUCH ON THE HIGHEST PRIORITIES THAT WE RECEIVED FROM ALL THAT FEEDBACK.

THAT BEING SAID, THE PLAN IS ORGANIZED INTO THREE KIND OF MAIN COMPONENTS.

THE INTRODUCTION IS REALLY EDUCATIONAL.

UM, WE FOCUS HEAVILY ON THAT DURING THE PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT THAT WE DID EARLIER ON IN THE PROCESS AND REITERATED WITH THE COMMITTEE.

UM, THE PLANNING COMPONENTS ARE GONNA BE A HIGH PRIORITY FOR Y'ALL TO LOOK AT SPECIFICALLY LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT CHARACTER TO SEE A COUPLE OF THE MAPS HOUSED IN THERE, UM, TO ENVISION HOW WE ARE ANTICIPATING FUTURE LAND USES TO BE DEVELOPED OUT.

AND THEN THE MOST IMPORTANT SECTION IS GONNA BE IMPLEMENTATION.

SO AS YOU HAVE PROJECTS COME FORWARD, UM, FOR DECISION MAKING OR RECOMMENDATION BY THIS GROUP, YOU'LL WANNA MAKE SURE THAT THOSE PROJECTS ARE IMPLEMENTING THE GOALS OF THE COMP PLAN.

AND SO THE IMPLEMENTATION CHAPTER PUTS THAT INTO BLACK AND WHITE WRITING.

UM, SO WE WANNA MAKE SURE THOSE ARE ACTIONABLE.

I WOULD HIGHLY ENCOURAGE, UM, PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION TO THAT CHAPTER IN PARTICULAR.

SO THIS IS SIMILAR, UM, FOUR GROUPS REVIEWING THIS AT THE SAME TIME.

YOU'LL HAVE THROUGH DECEMBER 5TH TO REVIEW AND THE REVIEW IS BEING HOUSED ON CONVEO.

A COUPLE OF THINGS JUST TO NOTE AGAIN, UH, STAFF HAS DONE A HIGH LEVEL REVIEW BEFORE IT WAS PUT INTO CONVEO WITH THE TWO PROJECTS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY, WE'RE AWARE OF SEVERAL THINGS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.
