UM, IN ORDER TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE C1 ZONING DISTRICTS FOR MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING, THAT CONCEPT PLAN WAS APPROVED, UH, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE REZONING, UH, TWO COMMERCIAL ONE, UH, TODAY THIS REQUEST BEFORE YOU IS A SITE PLAN THAT WILL DEMONSTRATE AGAIN, COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMERCIAL ONE DISTRICT.
IN ADDITION TO THE TOWNS DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, UM, THERE WERE SOME ADDITIONAL REFINEMENTS TO THE SITE LAYOUT AND, AND THE IMPROVEMENTS ON THE SITE.

UM, WITH THAT, UH, STAFF REQUEST FEEDBACK FROM THE COMMISSION TO ULTIMATELY REFINE THE REPORT AND GET IT READY FOR OUR NEWLY APPOINTED CHAIR TO PRESENT IT TO CITY COUNCIL AT A LATER DATE.
UM, WE'VE MADE CORRECTIONS, UH, DRESSING TYPOS AS WELL AS SOME LABELING OF, UH, SOME OF THE GRAPHS AND THE CHARTS.
AND THEN WE ALSO MOVE FORWARD WITH POPULATING THE DOCUMENT WITH THE GOALS THAT WERE COMMUNICATED, UH, BY THE COMMISSION, UH, AT THE JANUARY SIX MEETING.
UH, SO VERY BRIEFLY, UH, THE GOALS, UM, BEGINNING WITH THE FIRST ONE, UH, INCLUDE EXECUTION OF THE 2022 PLANNING DEVELOPMENT WORK PROGRAM.
UH, THAT IS, UH, THE NEXT ITEM ON THE AGENDA, WHICH WE'LL DISCUSS THEN, BUT, UH, JUST VERY BROADLY, UH, THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT WE TALKED ABOUT, UH, AND SOMETHING THAT WE CAN, UH, UH, ULTIMATELY MOVE FORWARD WITH, WITH ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK FROM THE COMMISSION.

UH, THE NEXT ITEM, UM, THAT, UH, THE COMMISSION ADDRESSED WAS A RENEWED FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY, UH, POLICY CONSIDERATIONS, SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFYING, UH, RECYCLING, UH, IN, UH, RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS, UH, MOST NOTABLY MULTIFAMILY DEVELOPMENT, UH, SIDEWALK CONNECTIVITY IS A NEW DEVELOPMENT, UH, REUSE REDEVELOPMENT, CAPITAL PROJECTS OCCUR IN TOWN.
AND THEN, UH, AS, UH, REDEVELOPMENT AND REUSE OCCURS, UH, THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESERVING A TREE CANOPY, UH, THAT EXISTS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
AND ALSO WHERE IT'S LOST EITHER DUE TO DEVELOPMENT OR AGE OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OR PLACEMENT OF LOSS LANDSCAPE, UH, THIRD ITEM, UH, ADDRESSED, UH, PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS, UH, REALLY RELATED TO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STAFF AND THE COMMISSION, UH, PRE-MEETING COMMUNICATION.

AND THEN ALSO LOOKING AT, UH, WHAT OTHER AREAS OF THE REGION ARE DOING WITH REGARDS TO, UH, DEVELOPMENT POLICY AREAS THAT COME TO THE TOWN, UM, WITH THAT AS WELL.
UM, WE DISCUSSED, UH, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, UH, UH, PUT ON BY STAFF AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS AND PUBLIC AGENCIES THAT, UH, PROVIDE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR, UH, COMMISSION MEMBERS.

WILL PRESENT DISCUSSING SARAH ACTION ON THE 2022 PLAN IN DEVELOPMENT WORK PLAN.SO ALSO AT THE JANUARY SIX MEETING, WE PRESENTED A DRAFT WORK PLAN, UH, FOR OUR DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT, SPECIFICALLY THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT FUNCTION, BUT ALSO, UH, DUE TO, UH, THE COMMISSION SERENE AS AN ADVISORY BOARD, UH, TO OUR DEPARTMENT, UH, FOR THAT FUNCTION, IT RELATES TO THE WORK OF THE COMMISSION AS WELL.
SO IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT THAT I RECEIVE FEEDBACK FROM THE COMMISSION.
UH, THIS DOCUMENT REALLY HELPS OUR DEPARTMENT, UM, IDENTIFY PRIORITIES AND GOALS FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR AND THEN REALLY LEADING INTO THE NEXT YEAR AS WELL.
IT'S AN ASPIRATIONAL DOCUMENT.
I DON'T ANTICIPATE THAT WE'LL COMPLETE EVERYTHING ON IT.
UM, BUT IT'S, UH, IT'S, UH, SOMETHING THAT WE WANT TO SHOOT FOR AND, AND START TO, TO, UH, SET UP SOME MEASURABLE BENCHMARKS, UM, AS, UH, LIFE OCCURS AS, UH, CONDITIONS EVOLVE AND ADDISON, SOME OF THESE THINGS MAY BECOME HIGHER PRIORITIES, LOWER PRIORITIES, OR, OR, UH, MAY STAY THE SAME, BUT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE CAN START TO, TO, UH, ACTIVELY MANAGE OUR PROGRAM AND MEASURE OUR PERFORMANCE.
SO, UM, AFTER THE, THE MEETING ON THE SIXTH, UH, ONE THING THAT WAS SUGGESTED BY THE COMMISSION WAS, UH, THAT THE GOALS WERE RELEVANT AND APPROPRIATE.
UH, BUT IT WOULD BE GOOD TO, UH, UH, ESTABLISH SOME PROJECTED TIMELINES IN TERMS OF IMPLEMENTING AND CARRYING OUT AN EXECUTE IN THESE GOALS.
SO, UH, SOME OF THESE ARE REALLY ONGOING TASKS THAT DON'T NECESSARILY HAVE AN END.
THAT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING THAT WE'LL BE STRIVING TO, TO IMPROVE OR FIND AND ADDRESS, BUT OTHERS ARE, ARE VERY FINITE AND WE'LL HAVE, UH, IDENTIFIED, UH, POINTS OF, UH, INITIATION, BUT ALSO COMPLETION.
